Jeffrey Baugh - Paralegal

I am Steve Damron and I bring more than 30 years of negotiation, leadership, and advocacy experience to the clients I serve. After earning both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Morehead State University, I completed my Juris Doctor at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where I was honored with the Professional Responsibility Top Grade Award and academic scholarship recognition.

My passion for the law is deeply personal. I believe every client deserves to be heard, protected, and treated with dignity—especially during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. For me, one of the most rewarding moments in this profession is when a case resolves and a client hugs me in gratitude. Seeing their happiness makes every long day worth it.

Before founding Damron Law, I spent nearly 27 years in leadership roles within the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, where I oversaw:

Property negotiations and acquisitions
Statewide real estate operations
Personnel development and training programs
Major infrastructure acquisition projects

I led teams of more than 120 professionals, modernized statewide operational processes, and earned national recognition for leadership excellence.

My professional journey also includes

Jeffrey Baugh - Paralegal

Jeffrey “Jeff” Baugh is an experienced legal assistant and paralegal with more than a decade of experience assisting clients in complex and high-stakes legal matters. He is committed to serving the community and takes pride in helping individuals and families navigate the challenges that follow serious injuries and disputes with insurance companies.

Jeff is known for his professionalism, reliability, and strong client communication. He works closely with clients throughout their cases, helping them understand the legal process while ensuring their matters are handled with care and attention to detail.

Prior to joining Damron Law, Jeff worked as a legal assistant with the Floyd County Prosecutor’s Office and later as a paralegal for the State of Indiana, Department of Child Services, where he gained significant experience handling sensitive and complex matters involving families and government agencies.

Jeff also brings valuable experience from the medical field, having worked in surgery administration before joining Damron Law. This background gives him a strong working knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and treatment records—an important asset in injury-related cases.

Jeff is bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish, and he is proud to assist Spanish-speaking clients so that language is never a barrier to quality legal representation.

Outside the office, Jeff is an accomplished martial artist and instructor in Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has traveled throughout Europe and Central America to teach and train with national-level teams in Germany, France, Sweden, and Mexico, and he won a US national tournament in 2021. These experiences reflect the discipline and focus he brings to his professional work.
